PhotoTex™ is a premium self-adhesive fabric material, ideal for wall coverings, photo prints and decorative wall graphics.

Unlike traditional wallpaper, it does not require wallpaper paste. Simply peel away the backing paper gradually and apply it directly to the wall.

PhotoTex or traditional wallpaper?

PhotoTex combines the appearance of a premium fabric wall covering with the convenience of a self-adhesive material.

There is no need to apply paste to the wall or to the wallpaper, and if the position is not correct during installation, it can easily be adjusted.

This makes it especially suitable for customers who want to install their wall covering themselves.

Where can PhotoTex be used?

PhotoTex is suitable for a wide range of indoor applications, including:

  • Wall coverings
  • Large photo murals
  • Children's and baby rooms
  • Bedrooms and living rooms
  • Commercial interiors
  • Offices and reception areas
  • Retail stores and decorative wall graphics
  • Temporary decorations and exhibition applications

Which surfaces are suitable?

For best results, PhotoTex should be applied to a clean, dry and relatively smooth surface.

Before installation, make sure the wall is free from dust, grease, moisture and cleaning product residue.

On very rough, heavily textured, porous or problematic surfaces, adhesion may be reduced. If you are unsure about your surface, we recommend testing a small discreet area first.

Important: freshly painted walls

Do not install PhotoTex immediately after painting.

The manufacturer recommends waiting at least 30 days so that the paint can dry and fully cure before installation.

Applying PhotoTex too soon after painting may affect adhesion and may cause bubbles or other surface issues.

How to install PhotoTex

1. Prepare the surface

Clean the wall thoroughly and allow it to dry completely before starting.

2. Position the top section first

Peel back a small section of the backing paper from the top of the wall covering.

Carefully align the PhotoTex in the desired position and lightly press the top section into place.

3. Work gradually downwards

Do not remove all of the backing paper at once.

Gradually pull the backing paper down while smoothing the material from the centre towards the edges.

This significantly reduces the chance of wrinkles or air bubbles forming.

4. If something goes wrong, reposition it

If the wall covering is not correctly aligned or a wrinkle appears, carefully lift the affected section and apply it again.

The ability to reposition PhotoTex is one of its main advantages and makes installation much easier compared with traditional wallpaper.

Tip: Avoid allowing the adhesive side to come into contact with dust, hair, fibres or dirty surfaces, as this may gradually reduce the effectiveness of the adhesive.

Is PhotoTex suitable for large wall murals?

Yes. PhotoTex is particularly suitable for large photo murals, wall coverings and wall graphics.

When a large design is produced in several panels, the sections are installed one after another to create one continuous image on the wall.

The ability to lift and reposition the material makes alignment between the panels much easier.

Can I install it myself?

Yes. This is one of the main advantages of PhotoTex.

No wallpaper paste is required, and the repositionable adhesive makes installation much easier even for people without previous wallpaper installation experience.

Small and medium-size applications can usually be installed by one person. For very large wall murals, having a second person assist is recommended.

Is it easy to remove?

PhotoTex is designed to be removed easily from suitable surfaces without leaving the typical sticky residue of conventional stickers.

The final result always depends on the condition of the wall, the type and age of the paint, and proper surface preparation.

On old, delicate or unknown paint finishes, we recommend testing a small area before full installation.

Frequently Asked Questions about PhotoTex™

What is PhotoTex?

PhotoTex™ is a self-adhesive fabric printing material designed for wall applications, photo murals, decorative graphics and other indoor uses.

It combines the look of a fabric wall covering with the convenience of a self-adhesive material.

Does PhotoTex require wallpaper paste?

No. PhotoTex already has an adhesive backing and does not require any additional paste.

Simply peel away the backing paper gradually and apply the material directly to the wall.

Can I remove and reposition it?

Yes. One of the main advantages of PhotoTex is that it can be removed and repositioned during installation.

If it is applied unevenly or a wrinkle appears, carefully lift the affected section and apply it again.

Does it leave adhesive residue or marks on the wall?

On a suitable and properly prepared surface, PhotoTex is designed to be removed easily without the typical sticky residue of conventional stickers.

The final result depends on the quality and age of the paint and the condition of the surface. On delicate or unknown finishes, a small test area is recommended.

Can PhotoTex be installed on a freshly painted wall?

Not immediately.

We recommend waiting at least 30 days after painting so the paint can dry and fully cure before installation.

Which type of wall works best?

PhotoTex performs best on clean, dry and relatively smooth painted walls.

Adhesion may be reduced on very rough, heavily textured or porous surfaces.

Can PhotoTex be applied to glass?

Yes. It can also be applied to smooth surfaces such as glass, provided the surface is clean, dry and free from grease.

Can I use it on doors or wardrobes?

Yes. It can be used on smooth surfaces such as doors, wardrobes and panels, provided the surface is suitable for self-adhesive applications.

Is PhotoTex suitable for children's rooms?

Yes. PhotoTex is especially popular for children's and baby rooms because it allows large decorative wall designs to be installed without traditional wallpaper paste.

Is it suitable for commercial spaces?

Yes. PhotoTex can be used in shops, offices, reception areas, exhibitions and other commercial spaces for temporary or longer-term decorative applications.

Can PhotoTex be used for large wall murals?

Yes. PhotoTex is suitable for large photo murals and wall graphics.

For large dimensions, the artwork can be divided into several panels which are installed consecutively to create one continuous image.

Do I need a professional installer?

Not necessarily.

The repositionable adhesive makes PhotoTex user-friendly enough for many customers to install themselves.

For very large wall coverings, having a second person assist will make the installation easier.

Does PhotoTex create air bubbles?

If the surface is properly prepared and the material is applied gradually from the centre towards the edges, air bubbles can usually be avoided.

If a bubble or wrinkle appears, carefully lift the affected section and reposition it.

Can I clean PhotoTex?

For light cleaning, use a soft, slightly damp cloth without aggressive rubbing.

Avoid strong cleaning products, solvents or chemicals that could affect the print or adhesive.

Can I reuse it in another location?

In many cases, PhotoTex can be removed and repositioned elsewhere, provided the adhesive side remains clean and free from dust, hair, fibres or other contaminants.

After repeated removal and repositioning, adhesion may gradually decrease.

What is the difference between PhotoTex and standard vinyl stickers?

PhotoTex has a fabric texture and a more premium appearance, while also offering greater flexibility when repositioning during installation.

Standard vinyl stickers usually have a more plastic-like feel and may be more difficult to correct once applied incorrectly.

What is the difference between PhotoTex and traditional wallpaper?

Traditional wallpaper usually requires separate wallpaper paste and a more demanding installation process.

PhotoTex is self-adhesive, can be applied directly and can be adjusted much more easily during installation.
